Help for dating profile
Don’t just say “I have a quirky sense of humour and want someone similar”.Show it by writing something funny & quirky about yourself.Because some people use only their handles as a personal identifier for some time, many online daters will come to use your handle as your "name" and may even greet you by your handle upon meeting face to face. The next thing anyone will see on your profile is your tagline. They differ in that they can be easily changed and provide a bit more space to describe whatever it is you feel relevant.
Men always say the same few things: “I’m really laid back”, “I love having fun with my friends”, or “family” is important to me”, women tend to write about “long walks” or their love of “football” thinking that these will make them more attractive. We read those things on everyone else’s profile – so if you want someone who will settle for generic, then that’s fine. Stating that they must be “blond and athletic…” – women find this a turn off. Imagine you are the partner of your dreams and think about how THEY would interpret what you say.
"A handle (or username) is the name other members of the dating site will use as your "name".
On most dating sites, a handle cannot be used by two different members, thus making it a unique identifier.
The problem with using any of these kinds of pieces as your tagline is that others are probably thinking the same thing.
Peruse a couple of dating sites and you'll quickly see what I mean: "I'm the one your mother warned you about," is still a favorite after more than a decade of use, and many online daters steer clear of anyone using this tagline because of it. Try for thought-provoking, unusual and/or intriguing one-liners.
